Animal Cookies

Animal Cookies is an indica-dominant hybrid cannabis strain bred by BC Bud Depot, the British Columbia-based seed bank, by crossing two legendary parent strains: Girl Scout Cookies (GSC) and Fire OG. GSC contributes the sweet, earthy cookie-dough aroma and the euphoric, body-relaxing effect character that made it one of the most influential strains of the 2010s; Fire OG brings intense potency, a sharp citrus-fuel OG Kush aroma, and deeply sedating indica body effects that are among the most powerful in the OG family. The combination produces a strain that tests between 22 and 28% THC, making Animal Cookies one of the higher-potency indica hybrids available. It is sometimes also known as Animal Crackers.

Visually, Animal Cookies produces dense, resinous buds with multicoloured flowers — dark green with purple undertones, vibrant orange pistils, and a thick coating of white trichomes that reflects the strain's exceptional resin production. The aroma is complex and multi-layered: sweet cookie dough and earthy sweetness from the GSC side, overlaid with sour and pungent notes from the Fire OG lineage, and a piney undertone that the OG Kush ancestry contributes. The flavour profile mirrors the aroma — earthy, herbal, nutty, and sweet with a sour, pungent exhale.

Animal Cookies is most celebrated as a medical cannabis strain due to its high THC content and heavy indica sedation. Effects begin with a euphoric head high that elevates mood and sparks brief creative engagement before the indica genetics take over, delivering a full-body relaxation that progresses to couch-lock and sleep for most consumers at effective doses. It is consistently recommended for insomnia, chronic pain, inflammation, muscle spasms, stress, depression, and appetite loss. Not appropriate for daytime use or new cannabis consumers.
